For those wanting to own the Higurashi TV Drama series, the official Twitter has announced that it will finally be released on DVD!
The ten-episode drama ran from May 20, 2016 to June 24, 2016 and November 25, 2016 to December 16, 2016. It covers the content of the Onikakushi, Watanagashi, Tatarigoroshi, Meakashi and Tsumihoroboshi arcs, leaving out Himatsubushi and the remaining Kai arcs. This DVD boxset will be priced at 19,000 yen and will contain all 10 episodes of the drama series. It is scheduled to be sold on June 23rd, 2017 by TC-Entertainment.
Some fans speculated that this announcement would be a continuation to the drama and even though that is not the case there may be a chance if sales are well enough. Who even knows but the staff themselves.
