As the curtain closes on this fragment, we return one last time for our final podcast, sharing our thoughts on Umineko Episode 8: Twilight of the Golden Witch. I Aspirety am joined by Jokrono, KyuuGryphon, and our very special guest Chronotrig, lead translator of Umineko. With a mix of fresh and old perspectives, we offer up our final thoughts on the story of Umineko, closing the book on this Tea Party. We hope you enjoy what we’ve prepared.
My sincere gratitude to all the forum members for their discussion of this episode, and to everyone who helped contribute to this Tea Party through discussions or fanworks. It’s truly been an amazing journey, and you guys made it possible. A wonderful celebration to commemorate Umineko’s international release; I hope what we’ve created here provides much insight and entertainment for those to come in the future, and helps them pave the way to their own unique understanding of the story.
I’ve promised a prize to commemorate our Most Valued Poster of the Answer Arcs, and who more fitting than Jokrono, the man who carried these discussions and brought forth some amazing analysis and insight that’s left many of us baffled at how he follow Ryukishi’s thinking so closely. To commemorate his efforts, we will be sending him a copy of Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru: Nocturne of Truth and Illusions for the PlayStation 3, as well as a copy of Umineko: Golden Fantasia for Steam! Thanks for your hard work over these past few months, the Bookclub wouldn’t have been quite as much a success without you.
If you’d prefer to download and listen to the podcast offline, we’ve prepared an mp3 you can download here. For more information about the Umineko Tea Party, including links to relevant forum topics and future episodes, you can find our hub page here, or on the button at the top of the page.
